Got a little welding done. Don't feel that great so no
big workshop miracles. Kinda figured out the rack.

I would have finished this in a couple days. Now it seems
like I'm building in slow motion . I did read the part on my
pills that say if you take them,don't operate machinery. Wonder
if that goes for a welder. lol

Glad to see you posting again. I'm saving up for a die to do the main tubes on my kids "motorcycle"(Honda 110 motor/trans).
Well, if you are going to mig it, then yes that is machinery. Just use gas and filler rod. ALL MANUAL BABY! Still within the legal limits.

Hey boy how you been? I know the dies are expensive.
When I sold my JD2 bender the guy was real happy it had
the 1'' 180 degree die. He paid about the same ,but saved
the shipping and got a free stand. I kinda miss it sometimes.

Well felt a little better today. Finished the rack
and sprayed a first coat of paint on. It will need
a couple ,but coming along.

Its funny how much work there is in cleaning all the
parts on a bike. This one had stainless fenders that
are decent but needed to be polished. Then the stem
was nice but the anodizing was bad, so it had to be striped
and polished. The fork, and chain guard need to be painted.
Its a bunch of work. When I think I have done something
I see more parts that have to be cleaned and either painted
or polished. Lots to it .

Well got a couple coats of paint on the frame, fork
and chain guard. At 93 degrees it dries really quick.

Wow, where have I been hiding? I didnt even see you sneak back in the place until now 
I picked up a minibike a week ago, needs the bars fixed and despite just needing some apes cut up and sleeved on flashes of your older builds and the bender were running through my head! Looks like some great progress on that Schwinn frame. I like the "speed holes" in the gussets. Rear racks seem to be in demand around this place lately too, all the cool kids are doing it !

CCR my brotherinlaw needed a way to park where he
works. They are closing one building and moving 350
people to his building. They already have a parking problem
and its going to get worse. He lives 15 minutes from his work
and they have bike racks by the front door. He tried riding
a regular bike to work, but got all sweaty. So this is the answer.
He needed a rack to carry his lunch box. So I came out of retirement
to see if I can solve his problem. Its just a quick deal that I snowballed
out of stupidity.

stainless fenders and then install them. Its coming right
