A water pipe layback seatposts

Hi guys, this is my layback seatpost.
Original seatpost is 29 mm, external diameter.

Water iron pipe:

3\4" have 26.9 mm external diameter, similar to original seatpost, but I need 2 mm…
1\2" pipe have 21.3 mm of diameter, and this one is good for saddle hook (22 mm is the correct pipe diameter, but 21 mm is sufficient).

An angle pipe 3\4 to 1\2 can connect the two pipes…
But I need 2 mm adapter pipe...

I cut 82 mm of aluminium pipe, 20 mm external diameter.
I spread the cutted pipe just a layer, and i rework it just a 27-to-29 mm adapter, bending the 82 mm side to create a cylyndrical adapter for 3\4 seatpost.

That's a tried and true method. I remember that member Goldstreetcustoms used this method on his build off bike a few years ago.

very nice and elaborate job!

I have a question: what do you think about no-soldering pipe joint solution for this pipes?

Can an epoxy glue on the screw thread (UHU bicomponent , slow polymerization, tensile strength 300 Kg \ cm^2) work fine?

Use a pipe wrench to tighten it, and I'm not even sure you need to do more. If you do want to do more, I'd use JB Weld, myself.
