I always have a fantastic time doing The Build Off. Even though I always seem to be way behind the last week, I'm super happy with the way this one turned out. It's ride-able and fun! I'm going to fine tune it and maybe even add a few things in the weeks to come.
The build..
Started with a post war Hawthorn frame and a cool Beehive Springer.
Some of the specs..
• 26x2.5” rims laced with 12g spokes
• Schwalbe Marathon 26x2 tires with reflective stripe delete
• 8 speed Nexus rear hub
• Roller Bearing brakes both front and rear.
• Misson BMX 3pc cranks
• Kids BMX handlebars mounted right side up
• Old school loaf seat with “custom extension”

I really dig this one man! Your bikes always have your distinctly cool geometry, but as unusual as that is, they still have a great stretched out flow to them. This one is no exception.
It's funny how to some people they initially think your bikes are unridable. Little do they know that you have probably logged more miles on your rat builds than any other person on the forum BY FAR!!!

When I first saw this, I wasnt at all feeling the old 80's MTB stem and little BMX bar combo, but it somehow works sooo perfectly. This bike is TOP notch! In my top 3 so far and definitely got my vote. Well done!
