Initially a basic matte black 26” cruiser, with internal 3-speed gears and coaster brake. Reborn in a phosphoric acid rain as Acid, full suspension chop shop 29+ monster cruiser

The initial idea was to just give the bike a post apocalyptic look, Mad Max: Fury Road style, by grinding off paint and let the exposed steel rust, fit external gears and knobby tires.

-Then it all went a bit out of control...

Wider tires, 1.95” top vs 3.0” bottom

This required a wider and longer forks front and rear.

Let’s build a full suspension bike from a fork and a scissor jack

Still VERY tight clearance with a 3.0” tire on a 65mm rim

Long travel rear swing demands more chain take up than the rear derailleur can handle, so here is its assistant

IT'S ALIVE!! What a gnarly, acid dipped, monster you have created ! And with your charts on suspension travel, spring rate and pre-load, scissor action, and now using a spread sheet for a parts list; you sir are a MaD RaT scientist!

Since this is your first time around the block in an RRB Build Off, a reminder that we use the first photo in this Finished Thread as the one for the Voting Thread. That said, I would encourage you to consider one of these two as your 'top ' or lead photo.

This is my favorite....leave it like it is, the background serves as a 'terrain' reference...Acid conquers all...

hbn Acid or use this one.jpeg

Or for a slightly more close up image that really shows off your creativity...

Thank you my friend! You’ve been like a mentor for me. I appreciate all advice I’ve gotten.
This buildoff has been such a great experience. The tips, cheers and support I've gotten from more experienced builders has been invaluable!
Great build remember we use the first photo for the voting.
Thanks! I’ll get to it!

Wow, I am shocked to see this one.

I feel bad about not being able to follow all builds including this one, but you made a awesome progression video.

This Mad Max Mountainbike Cruiser Hybrid is absolutely great.

I can only describe this build with a song;

:rockout:
