Initially a basic matte black 26” cruiser, with internal 3-speed gears and coaster brake. Reborn in a phosphoric acid rain as Acid, full suspension chop shop 29+ monster cruiser
The initial idea was to just give the bike a post apocalyptic look, Mad Max: Fury Road style, by grinding off paint and let the exposed steel rust, fit external gears and knobby tires.
-Then it all went a bit out of control...
Wider tires, 1.95” top vs 3.0” bottom
This required a wider and longer forks front and rear.
Let’s build a full suspension bike from a fork and a scissor jack
Still VERY tight clearance with a 3.0” tire on a 65mm rim
Shock legs. Final version left vs prototype right
Shock in place
Long travel rear swing demands more chain take up than the rear derailleur can handle, so here is its assistant
Headlight prototype
Metal version
Final version
First version tank plate. Turned out to be stainless steel. Unacceptable!
Maybe insert a logo in the tank plate
