Another, new here from KY

Hey, my name is Tim, i'm new to this site and new to riding bikes in general. I recently purchased a 50's or 60's bantam off of craigslist and it's been real great riding that bike around the neighborhood. Now, however i am looking to buy parts for this bike since i've noticed the foot brakes do not work that well and it may need new tires soon. I know nothing about bikes so if anyone could guide me as to what parts fit on this bike (if interchangeable with stingray) or where to buy them, i'd appreciate it.

How did you find the site?

Does the Bantam have solid rubber tires or tires with tubes?

i'm not entirely sure if the tires are solid rubber or tubed, but im not too concerned with them just yet. the brakes are my main concern so that i dont kill myself learning to ride more proficiently. oh and thedrivel the other new KY guy introduced me to the site and actually persuaded me into buying the bantam.
