Rode this bike today and I think I am going to keep this as a Driver, Lights and everything work great, still don't know why people love those Brooks seats, I have yet to feel comfortable on one. I cannot find the letters on the Raleigh charts to date this, anybody know ? # 23453 BN

There should be a two number date code on the rear hub, like 56, which would be 1956.

Nice bike. I picked one up from an old farmer for $10.00. Here's a picture of it. I see you have a 40 Chevy. My Dad has a 40 Chevy coupe he bought from the original owner in 1957. It has a Rochester fuel injected 327 and a 4spd. He painted it in 1969, and nothing has been changed since, except the wheels and tires. Here's a scan of the magazine article from 1974. Dean
