I initially thought this was a Trailmate, but in the process of removing all the paint, I found a "Matthews" headbadge sticker. Not much on the internet about these, so any info will help. Is it rare/worth much/desirable? Thank you!

Most famous for their Matthews Monoshock from the 70's.

From the museum:
....possibly be an LRV (parent company of Matthews) made Takara in which the fork could possibly be correct for that bike.
LRV was pretty loose and free with the parts they used and to whom they distributed.

LRV = Lifestyle Recreational Vehicle. Mathews did later become LRV. That is correct & then I THINK MAYBE Gary Turner welded for LRV & went out on his own and started Gary Turner bikes we all know them as GT.

BMX Matthews are not the same as the 60's Bill Matthews.
