Re: /Archie\ - Update 6/23

Here is the stem I have decided to go with. Pics of the bars to come soon.

Okay, so here are the bars. I stopped by the Polaris ATV dealer today and picked these up. They are super beefy ATV bars. I think the width and the stance will work perfectly for my goal.

Re: /Archie\ - Update 6/25

I just spent the evening painting. I touched up a bunch of nicks and scratches on the frame and gave it a couple more coats of the metallic storm gray. For the fork I just used a solid black. Then I clear coated all of it. The center of the bars were bare steel, so I painted the middle so an accent of orange will show between the bar clamps.

And the little pink forks are just for painting purposes

Re: /Archie\ - Update 6/25

Thanks to Rusty513, I will be using a schwinn mag krate front chainring. This will give me a 52 front, 22 rear gear setup with a 3 speed nexus. So this bike should be nice and fast and the 1st gear will actually be useful.

Archie Klunker might be finished... Might change some minor things, but it's pretty much done.

I know it's not the most elaborate build, but I am very pleased with how it is wrapping up. It is super fast and smooth. And this frame actually fits me set up like this. I might look for a white or orange chain, but I like the simple look of this one too. Here are a few pics of how it stands right now.

It turned out really nice!

You need to weld a cross bar on those handlebars.

Where did you find those pedals?

I agree a cross bar would be cool. I might try to fabricate some sort of bolt on deal. It sure isn't need for structure. These ATV bars are super heavy duty.

The pedals are a set of Odyssey Shark Bites. I got them off ebay for a steal.
