Got this ~1938 (?) Hawthorne 5-bar type bike a few months back.
Took it completely apart, rebuilt it all. There were some spokes missing, finally found some that had matching patina, so was able to get the bike back together today.
Took it for a spin and it rides great! A roomy bike, very nice ride.
Had to put these bars on it as the originals were bent and broken.
