1962 Columbia Firebolt.
Wow! What a really nice restoration! Before and after, 1939 Schwinn DX. It had been fixed up by someone at some point to look like a Hoppy motorbike. I imagine some kid in the '50s painting up his Dad's old bike to resemble the Hopalong Cassidy with the Whizzer engine that he really wanted for Christmas!
Just a quick resto nearly complete
Great site you have here, I am loving it as well as getting ideas. The rims are an Araya 36H knock-off in anodised red from eBay and then had to buy a new front hub as didn't realise at the time that the original front was a 28H until I was lacing it up with new spokes..... and the tyres are just plain 20x1.75 whitewalls from SaintSide, a store in Melbourne that has quite a range of dragster/lowrider parts.Where did you get the red wheel set?
Matt (or is it Mark?) at Saintside is pretty cool, I have bought stuff from him in the past...Great site you have here, I am loving it as well as getting ideas.
