Man I wish I had more Raleigh fenders.....I could have both ends of the fender have the cool bullet chrome end.

And to think that bike shop I got these from..... out of there used parts pile.

Had three more sets of NOS Raleigh fenders even nicer then this pair :roll:

To bad they are long gone now....

I will flip them again and take a good pic ......

Went over to Ratina's yesterday Great Guy with tons of parts!


Got this extra set of fenders. not sure yet if I will use them.... for sure using some of the hardware

How do you like them flipped?

There will be a visible seam like this. But it is a Rat :wink:

Just a idea where the light will go...

Light will bolt to the tab on the front fender....
Need to get working on this thing! time to bolt the fenders on!

These fenders are 'funky cool', I like 'em.

Bet they'll fill up with snow pretty quickly though! :mrgreen:

i agree with the front view1 IF Batman peddled a bicycle in the 30s the front of his bike would look like this.
In Ford model A black Of coarse!
I like it without the Light on the front. IT LOOKS MORE "Elegant", In a Manly way, like early Jaguars!

Fenders looking great but I have to agree with imagearchy, not convinced with the light placement.
Maybe trying including it to the fender somehow would help, something like this:

Hey Skipton,

The fender looks good. I like the knob up front again.

Do you plan to support the light (other than the fender itself) down that low?

The alternative placement suggested might be interesting or an option if you can't keep the weight of the Down-Low Light stabile.
It's a differnt look though.

Another option maybe to use a rear fender-mounted taillight with a clear lens and LED swapped in. Lots of work though.

Are you going to match the Down-Low Light with the tank lights?

I like the snow plow idea :lol:

I could not agree more about the headlight on the fender looks better with out it!

Got some actual work done yesterday.

The boys are out of school for the summer! So I have my best Fabricators on the job :shock: :mrgreen:

So they trimmed 3 or 4 inches off the "rear" fender and cut all the braces off.

Then we bolted it all together

This is going to work!

Hard to see in the photos... but using fender braces like these..

Still have to drill the holes for the front bracket. Put the bracket on the outside off fender to pull it close to the tire

This is the other set of raleigh fenders I got from Ratina
not sure yet but I may put them on the rear
