Ok I am going to use my one bike change clause.. "the Bull" will be built just don't have the time ( or money) to do it justice right now

so in the RatRod spirit I will be doing a K.I.S.S. build

Starts with this Sears diamond frame i got from Markm last weekend....Thanks again Mark!

Keep it simple will be easy with this one. love the color and paint is in good shape, don't need to repaint
and I think it's a cool looking frame

Not totally set on what will happen with this one....but this extra fender will get used

Going to use some parts off of this bike that I bought from Ratina last Fall (thanks Ben) I like the bars

Nice stuff...
The blue Sears is a 26"er?

More luck this time and have fun.

Yep 26" hard to find any 28"ers in the States :(

Thanks! and it's always fun around here!

herr_rudolf

I forgot that the wheels that are on the sears are Schwinn S-7's :x 26 x 1 3/4 they are only 571 mm

Compared to a usual three speed bike size 26 x 1 3/8 ........590 mm

Got the wheels of the black bike and I have some all white tires that should look good against the blue

Sorry about the messing pic just got the wheels off after work tonight.

In the photo the wheels look a little to big  .....but I think this was the size wheel and tire that the bike came with.

I will get them on tomorrow

Bars may not work....
RatRodBuildOff6003-1.jpg

hard to tell in the pics but they might be to short may not be comfortable..... I will keep playing with them and many others

Re: Let's Do This! ~~ Restart ~~

Got the three speed wheels on this morning, And the bars are growing on me :D
Got this tank from Petrohead (Thanks!) for a different project. but this diamond frame is just the right place for it.
I have some ideas for a cool seat this one just for mock up... going to need a lay back seat post.

Next up fender work

Re: Let's Do This! ~~ Restart ~~

I think this on is going to be sharp Skipton. could you flip the tank so the tail paralles the top tube? hey I have a steel stem that would be weldable for the springer fork.

Thanks Gary still figuring out just how best to mount the tank

I don't remember if that bike had a shifter, but I have a white grip shifter that might work if you want it when you come out

I like where this is going

Thanks Ben..... black bike has no shifter I might just take you up on that. I do have a 333 muscle bike shifter I may use

The look from the front is awesome. The bars and tank totally work with that bike.

Thanks I am real happy how the bars and light look :D

I have a little more work to get the rear to sit just right.

Going to use these cool tubular braces off the black donor bike
RatRodBuildOff6010.jpg

They are a little long but I can shorten them up. to get the fender right on the tire with no gap...plus air in the tire will help

Having a BLAST!

Front fender to get a similar treatment

Then try to figure out how to mount this

Re: Let's Do This! * Now Known As Speedy *Front Fender 1.0

I was working in the LET'S DO THIS BIKES! world headquarters (my basement) last night. Planing to do the same treatment to the front fender....Then I remembered I have a cool set of Raleigh fenders

What do you think?
