finally i was able to take better pictures of my 59' amf roadmaster, so i hope you all enjoy.

sanded it all the way down and decided to paint it the original colors in the original color scheme. put on rims from a newer cruiser (an 86' murray) and the chainguard from a 40's hawthorn to give more stylish chrome.

when weather permits, this is my daily work commuter! on bad weather days, i have my 62' jch with fenders and a rack for my wet weather gear. not sure which model of roadmaster this one is as i had nothing to go by and looked at alot of pictures to determine what it is and most likley, when.

hope you all enjoy and i look forward to what you think. live to ride, live to build!

id like to ad a springer front fork in the future. wish i could find a replacement roadmaster headbadge too.

good luck on the badge hunt, as for the forks, id just add some chrome truss rods i like the white forks its got now, i dont usually like the add on chrome guards but it looks like it belongs on this bike.

thanks for the comments so far. as for the height question, i am 6'2" and all legs. even though i am into the cruisers, still gotta have my seat high for efficient riding. remember, this is my daily commuter. all my seatposts are long and that wasn't cheap to retro fit all 7 cruisers with new extended seat posts.

anyways, love the comments so far so keep them comming.

yeah. i only wish more bikes sold out there would just come up with putting in longer posts so that their bikes fit more people. and at our height, don't you just hate having to buy another longer seat post for every bike you buy or have given to you?

i would flip those handle bars over and drop the seat to the frame and ride it like a bobber and add a triple tree....even though i know thats not the norm!...but neiter am i

Everytime I go to my LBS he asks.."What bike did you just buy and do you want another long seat pole?" Lol. I have passed on plenty of cruiser bikes because my knees just can't take the pressure from the cramped position. I now use my Firmstrong Chief as my daily cruise bike. It has the forward pedal position so I can extend my legs.

One of the guys in the Dusty Spokes is 6'9" and he rides a tandem with the front seat post cut off. Put some apehangers on it and pedals and steers from the front while sitting on the back!

i a curious about the whole flipped bars and "bomber" look. triple tree? just wish i could get over my cold so i can go out and ride it again. untill then, it is just wall art in my rod room. :(

look back at my old pics of my bike to see how the fliped bars sort of fade in with the line of the top center bar of your bike.

then if you add a triple tree fork (chopper style) you can get your bike lookin like some of these!
