Black and white 1966 Schwinn

I've never participated in a build off. I felt this one would be a good one to try. I picked this bike up locally after seeing it on here in the swap meet section.

Day 1

I bought it but had no idea what I wanted to do with it. First I thought restoration. Then I finally decided to make a plus sized stingray. Not too crazy in case I wanted to eventually restore it

Sent it out for some black powder coat

Picked up some sweet rims

Started scrubbing the front rack

Mocked it up
then abandoned it

I couldn't decide on a seat. Should I go sparkly or plain black. Then I saw this seat and I liked it.

I need to clean some parts

I'm going to repainted the tank and chain guard. I'm trying to figure out a decal for the chain guard

Nice touches so far! Should be a good rider. My 'naner seat / ape bar bikes are a couple of my most comfortable rides I have. Watching!

That makes the whole bike. I have to open the mounting holes up go fit the heavy duty axles. I hope I have enough material to make it work

Small update. Crank and sprocket cleaned. Looks pretty decent. I plan on riding this thing so they will do.

Nice looking build so far! The cahinring/crank looks columbia to me, similar to whats on my '56. Neverming the bike though, the millenium falcon and the at-at are sweet!
