I've been gathering parts and working on this since mid October but just now getting around to posting it. I'm building this bike for a great friend in Seneca, S.C. for a Christmas Present. She said her favorite color was BLUE so if my tires come in on time I should be able to get it finished. I want to deliver it to an F-100 show we have in Pigeon Forge in June so we can ride around town at night but I have to have it finished by Christmas so she can come to this site and see her present. Hope she likes it. Nothing to good for my little ***Blues Eyes***

I really hope she thinks so as well. She really is a special person. Thanks about the struts. Yes, this is what the BLUE tires are for. She's so special it had to have Blue tires. They aren't hard to find either when you have friends that know stuff. Thanks for the tip. I'm working on a cool tail light made with a $2.99 Blue anodized LED flashlight. I'll show it next time.

Are you going to mount a Model A tail light on this

Thanks. It'll be a 48 Ford truck tail light. Looks cool though.

Thanks for the compliment. Hope I don't let you down on the rest of it. This friend is worth the best I can do and I hope I don't let her down either. Don't get me wrong, she's 19 I'm 56. It ain't like girl friend, boy friend stuff. I just love her like one of my nieces. She truely is a Special person. She amazes you everyday with her love and compassion for people and she lives, eats, and breaths softball. She's Tough. I hope to get her photo with the bike when I deliver it in June. If I can I will post it so you can see that, to kill for smile that she was blessed with. Thanks.

Gotta get back to work. Dec. is a busy month and i'm running out of time.

Outstanding work! Gotta admit, i'm gonna use your idea for a taillight. Those struts look great, def gonna watch this build progress.

Found some more free time. I only covered the right hand side of this chain ring since it is a late model
cheap looking thing. The left side can still be seen if you look hard enough but it's not very noticable.
I used a piece of 22 ga. polished Stainless Steel and polished some brass brad rivets.

Next time, chain guard and battery holder for headlight.

Love the tail light. I almost went with this for a build:

Very classy looking so far

super-nice tail light idea. Is there any issues with hooking it with a heel on a pedal stroke? Dang, I wish I could weld.

No problem catching your heel on it. You have 7 1/4" from the end of the pedal to the push button on the end of the light. Also the end of the flashlight screws off to change the 3 AAA batteries. This way you don't have to take the lens off the light unless you just need to swap out the whole flash light at some point. These flash lights are available in a lot of places. I got a 2 pack at Harbor freight for $2.99.

This will be the battery pack for the headlight which requires 4 D cell batteries. The flashlight casing is aluminum and since I can't weld the steel washer to it I used a 2 part epoxy to fasten them together. This will be painted the same color as the frame. Since there's not a good way to hide a battery pack of this size I'm just going to make it blend in as much as I can. This will mount vertically just behind the seat tube with the wire coming out the bottom. I'm also trying to hide the wires as much as I can so I'm going to run them inside the frame as far as I can. I'll show some of this later.
