bmx rear hub questions

my son got a walmart bmx bike with micro drive or whatever they call it. somehow, it came home the other day with the bearings out of the back hub. i tore it down and will try to rebuild it, but if i cant, ive been looking for another hub. its the kind that takes the single speed cassette driver. everyone i see on the internet costs more than the whole bike, i must be looking for the wrong thing. can someone educate me here? thanks.

Microdrive hubs seldom come cheap; i'm thinking you can rebuild it but here's a cheaper one:

Be aware of what size axle you need (3/8" or 14mm) and order accordingly.
