I ordered a 24" stretched cruiser frame and plan on doing a pretty wild build once I get all of my parts in. I am using a freewheel single speed with a single rear disc brake. I was thinking about using a 3 speed shifter as the brake lever, has anyone done this before? I want to be a little original.

The guys at Cycle Works used a 3 speed twist grip as a brake on a tandem that they converted to a stretched single seater. I'm sure they could give you some insight. You can get in touch with them over on the FreakBike Nation board (http://www.freakbikenation.com). Eric is the main guy and he goes by Grindo, on the board.

What about a motorcycle throttle? Just roll the throttle to stop! One for a motocrosser would be prettty cool looking on a bike!
