Can I get a tool suggestion? Internal bearing puller...

I am looking to buy a cheap but usable bearing puller, for sealed bearings with a small (1/2" to 1") I.D.
I usually avoid cheap tools, but I don't see this being one that I use incredibly often. I need it for some 6001-8 sized hub bearing, and some sealed BB bearings.

Any suggestions?

we've had one of these for years. while the jaws slip more than i'd like, it gets the job done more often than not. the jaws do have to get behind something, it won't work with flush-fit bearings, like on old 90's dt hubs.

i give it a 3 out of 5....

Three out of five is just the level of performance i was hoping for, at the budget I'm working with. And, I was hoping to spend $50 or less.... $56 shipped is probably close enough....

I'd scour the auto parts store for this tool, which I used to have for extracting lifters. Not sure the jaws would fit into a 1/2" I.D., though. It's just about the right size for 1". The jaws of the collet expand when you tighten it.

I wish they made a miniature version of that one, it looks interesting.

FWIW our Cal-Van goes well under 1/2", to just under 9mm, so it's useful on QR hubs.

I'm mostly going to need it for 3piece bmx BBs in American shells, and I'm anticipating the need for it with Sanyo dynohubs. Apparently, the stock bearings are the weak link. (They take a metric bearing with an oddball 1/2" ID.)
