Seen this add sturmey archer 3 speed hub 20 dollars and it has the coster.. I think yes just what I'm looking for. So I travel to Ottawa to collect my goodies. I get there throw them in the car. Come home and look. It's a Sachs great hub however no indicator spindle and these are near impossible to find. Oh the disappointment.

Time light things up I like dynamos but dynamos don't like LEDs. Dynamos are DC current and LEDs are AC so LEDS flicker in DC or don't light up. So need to build a rectifier circuit so three diodes and and LED (witch is a diode) and a capacitor to keep the LEDs from flickering and need it lit when not moving. Yes you can buy LED bulbs for this but there in england and 18 bucks plus shipping. There 33 cents in parts there.

I know it's hard to make out what I did but there's three diodes and a capacitor the forth is in the tail light the diodes make up the rectifier circuit. And the cap is on the led if anyone wants to see the schematic I'll post it but it will now go from DC to AC real nerd stuff

I've seen LED bulbs advertised as replacement bulbs for incandescent flashlight bulbs. I was hoping I could buy one and just replace the bulb in my Schwinn Phantom. I guess it isn't that easy. I think the E10 is what I thought would work.

It will flicker there are some bulbs that will work if there not that expensive give It try.

Check to see if they need ac or DC power. If your phantom runs on battery the e3 will work but not on a dynamo
Thanks. I was waiting for the original to burn out. It is battery, four AA if I remember. It's a repop 125th Anniversary Phantom so a modern light unit.

Excellent circuitry work. I haven't done anything like that since college days.

Made a mudflap for the rear.

Front fender sits way lower hopping this will even them out a bit. Now stitching around the edge. Die the carved out part. Would love to get this stuff on the bike. It's been 41f one here and I work around a furnace that destroys PCBs (I could get rid of a body there to) so 125f (set off our fire alarm before) at work in tyfex suits once I get home don't want nothing to with heat.
