these are all questions :?: is an 1/8" chain what we use on our cruisers. I heard that a no.35 chain the same and that is what is used on garage door openers. 3/32" what is used on freewheels? can we have a group discusion on this? :? :? I am hoping to buy like 50' of it.

No Problem happy to help, This might help with the chain hunt, as far as I can see the 40 or 41 chain should work it will just be a little bit wider than the cruiser chain
cruiser bicycle chain uses 3/16" wide rollers 1/2" pitch.
multi-speed bicycle chain uses 5/32" wide rollers 1/2" pitch
Chain Number / Pitch / Between Inner Plates
25 / 1/4" / 1/8"
35 / 3/8" / 3/16"
40 / 1/2" / 5/16"
41 / 1/2" / 1/4"
50 / 5/8" / 3/8"

I spoke with a garage door company today about getting some chain for my build off bike, he said they use mostly #40 or #41. The standard cruiser chain 1/8" between the plates so #40 gains 1/16" but should work fine.
