While I am building this up, I will also have a 27.5 hardtail MTB project in the works, so I will sneak a few pics of it in periodically at @OddJob 's request.

Wrong stem, no cranks, and haven't trimmed the steerer on that Manitou fork yet.View attachment 229965
Sweet Spot! Is that an 853 sticker? I'd love to try a Reynolds frame. Sick pair of Porsches in the background too

I finally got a chance to dig through some parts, and look at alternative fork options for Cherry. Hard to decide between the original truss fork and the '70s bargain basement telescopic "BMX" accessory fork. Also pictured are the crash bars and 2 speed Bendix 24" wheel.

The bmx forks look cool, but I like those truss forks better. Just depends on your direction for the build.

I think that I will lace up the front wheel before I make my final decision on the fork.

Also, seat pic:

One of my favorites! Had one on my custom spaceliner, and had TWO on a tandem I used to own. Wanted to swap the seats when I sold it, but too much of a purist.

No sense in keeping the 'bride' waiting while you wait for the groom.

Okay. Mounted up some tires, shortened the layback seatpost a bit, and now we're here:PXL_20230528_202203698.PORTRAIT.ORIGINAL.jpg PXL_20230528_202311136.PORTRAIT.jpg PXL_20230528_202223063.PORTRAIT.jpg

Some clean up to be done on the fork, stem, and rear wheel. After that... Fenders? Flick stand?
