getting ready to learn how to re-wire a house, my house  ...anytime off work will be spent on that..... :| :|

go ahead and rent yourself one of those kick-xutt - 2 handled drills with a long 1 inch auger bit to drill down thru the wall headers. I did my first house many years ago, my father-in-law was an electrical contractor and he loaned me one of his. hold on to the thing, when the auger hits a nail you get a real jerk.

put outlets and lights everywhere you think you might even remotely want them in the future, if you don't I guarantee you, you will wish you did. go ahead and buy lots of cheap caulk and seal all of the electrical boxes to the sheetrock, and put those foam seals behind all the plates. It will weather tighten up your house quite a bit. I spent 2 weeks doing that to my existing house, and I could tell the difference in air infiltration, less dust in the house too. If you are really anal, caulk where the wire in the attic where it goes down into the wall. anything to keep outside air from entering your walls and living space will save on your energy bill.

I miss that trying to line up some days off where you can use 4 or 5 and get three weeks off. Naaa just kidding. I have been off 4 1/2 years and I don't miss any of it. Merry Christmas to everybody and stay safe.

Sorry for your loss Dingo.

I just got a prewar springer for my '37 Schwinn. So in my few days that I have off, I'm going to be playing with that.

I'm going to take a shot at lacing a new rear hub into the rear rim of my old Rollfast.

If I can do it, so can you!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Happy holidays everyone, and have a great X-mas !

I've had 2 weeks off with 4 to go (our school system has a 6 week summer break).

Apart from spending time with my family, I've been working on the house, doing bigger brake, and later model tie-rod conversions on my '58 Zephyr, and have a bike build on the go. Will post some bike pics in the next couple of days (gotta wait for the paint to harden up)
