I've got my friend to weld a 3/16 nut to a 5/8-ID shaft collar. There will be two of these that clamp onto the chainstays and get the bottom of the sissy bar bolted to them. Then the seat to sissy bar junction will get a new bracket.

Moving on to other projects.
