I have GT performer white FW mags that I ride on. The only problem is, the previous owner used black brake pads on them so they left streaks all on the sidewalls. Whats the best way to remove them?

Thanks, Will

Trichlorethane! Nope have not a clue where you get it, yup I'm probably going to die of cancer from using it to clean mags. Seems like someone at a drycleaners gave it to my boss back then??? In the 80s before the tree huggers started wanting to be able to drink water.
Bet some denatured alcohol would do it?

just thinking outloud. maybe soaking the rim in a solution of water and denture cleaner tablets? the plastic rims are kindda denture-ish. right?
again, just thinkin out loud. only 37, no dentures here :D

Wash with warm water and an SOS pad...if that doesn't work try scrubbing with Wesley's Bleach White and an SOS pad  Both those tricks work on whitewalls so they might work on rims
