I wanna do this so bad. Every time I see this ride (or another Atomic Cycles ride) posted I think about taking the trip down south. But I have to admit: I am scared! I threw the chain going downhill on my State Klunker when I first got it and definitely freaked out (before crashing)! Still, this is a bucket list ride for me. Guess I need to buy shinguards, kneepads, elbow pads, a neck brace....
All you need to do is practice riding off road with a coaster, many of the people you see in these pictures are seasoned veterans that have been getting sideways for years now, you'll get there !

more and more.... The second part of the 4th heat was the "dizzy duo" where riders had to spin their head around on a pole several times going back and forth. It was a game changer for sure! Lots O' laughs!

Looks like I might get my chance to try such an event as the Good Times Crew has just announced the “Cruiser Classic” September 23-24 in Nevada City, CA. I missed this event last year but will try my darndest to make it this year.
I will be the late-middle-aged chick on the faux-Coppertone klunker (probably). And hopefully can convince my one local klunk buddy to come.
