I was trying to take off the cog on my skip tooth morrow hub but cant seem to figure out which way it's threaded, does any one know?
Thanks,
Bryan

Lock ring is reverse thread and cog is regular thread. Hope that helps.

The lock ring came off fairly easy but the cog seems impossible to get off. I have been spraying in with penetrating oil but no luck, would using heat be a bad idea?
Thanks,
Bryan

Have you tried Kroil penetrating oil? It's supposed to be the best, but hardly any stores carry it. The guys on my car forum say it will free just about anything. I just mail ordered some, and it seems to penetrate way faster than stuff like PB Blaster.

Some stuff called zep-45 is the best. Ive had stuff completly rusted up and within a couple of minutes after spraying with zep-45 it came loose g/l Tony
