what are those white almost clear formations on that bike? Surely that can't be ice..can it? Doesn't look fit for man nor beast out there.

Bombshelter, thanks for digging up some old posts, it is cold here right now almost 20 degrees. I sold that bike along with a bunch of other Schwinns at Ann Arbor swap couple years ago.

+1 on having that same model and for me color as yours. just frame and wheels, but now its in a better place. still have the wheels and used the chainguard for another bike of mine.
