Columbia Westfield Klunker "classic meets modern project"

Hi guys!!

Im just new to this page and still learning about this site and also to this kind of bike/project..

I was inspired by my cousins klunker and to be honest i gave up my fixie bike (fixed gear bike) to build this bike and im having a hard time using it now becaus of no free wheel Lol!

Here's the picture that i want to share..
From stripped to first coating.

I want this to turned into bright yellow or glossy yellow.

And btw,my friend of mine who's painting this is also a biker. (Mtb cross country) i found out that he has a old bmx 1986 model and his crank set is one piece.we are going to check if it fits or not.

He told me that it is kinda rare now this kind of crank set this days. ( one piece that can change the chain ring ) ..
The chain ring has 44 teeth.

I have to say I like the frame and color you chose for it. What kind of frame is it (make and model).?
Those cranks will work fine for your cruiser unless you plans on going with a 3 pcs crank set in the future.? Look forward to checking out you project as you go. I will be following your build up for sure..

The frame is Columbia. Do you know how to check when was this frame manufactured based on serial number?? The serial number at the bb tube are 1274439 .. don't know how to check it.. lol..

Cool project!

Don't forget to clean the paint out of your bearing cups before assembling the cranks into the frame though, paint tends to gum the bearings up...

Your number does not seem to match their format but I am not knowleagle about serial numbers or frame idetifiaction in general.

Going to buy wheel set,pedals,chain,stem and handle bar.. planning to use this kind of handle bar.
