Just couldn't take it anymore... was holding on to this frame to do an ultra traditional Klunker build, but seeing it sitting there on the wall for over a year while I gathered parts and got sidetracked to other projects just made me sad, so it was time for it to go under the torch.

...mic drop.

Looks pretty good,I like the gold accents.

2 requests:

-can we see more pics/more angles of the complete bike? The detailed pics of the braze-ons and cable routing and the one pic of the complete bike look incredible.... but i wanna see more.
- any chance of running a radder stem?

Sure, once the deluge blows over lol. But got a couple yesterday before the housepets started falling from the sky.

Radder than OG Suntour? That's a tall order. Don't think a Tuff/Pro Neck would have enough material in it to be ground out to handle the bulge in the center of the Sidewinder bars. With the exception of the tires (1986) rear brake shoes (1990's?), new cables and Peregrine axle nuts everything other than the frame itself is 1982 correct... including the Schwinn tubes!

I suppose I should brake it down, oh boy... here we go-

Wheelset- Araya 7x with Suzue HF hubs, Suntour freewheel, Cheng Shin WW snakes w/ Schwinn "original equipment" tubes
Sidewinder bars, Suntour stem, Cycle Pro forks (NOS stickers), HD Tange Meriter clone headset w/ dirt skirt and Suntour Head Lock, Hunt Wilde grips
DiaCompe brakes, Scot Mathouser finned pads front, TNT +10mm offset pads rear w/ Weinmann right angle post modified to mount upside down
Varsity diamond crank, Sugino snowflake 44t chainring, KKT lightning pedals, OG Schwinn BB
Suntour Mighty shifter/Suntour Alpine Gear derailleur, Boorks B67 with custom chrome rails/finned anno post

Wow! just ..Wow ! i admire your work on the modern frame mods , and the overall bike at the end is stunning! , i wish i could do this with my new frame find :41::113:
