Hey!
I have a Dyno cruiser where I'm converting from a regular 1 1/8" threadless to a 1" threaded springer fork.
The ones I've seen have a counter nut between the fork bracket and the bearing cup (nut) under it. I need to make a decision before I shorten the threads. Maybe it doesn't make much of a difference but I'd need to get a hold of one if so. Would you guys recommend putting one on?

well if you don't mind the higher stem you should just stack spacers and the nut over top and ideally not cut the tube in case you change fork and want to sell it or fit on a other bike
but you definitively need a nut over the spring bracket ..
putting one under it would only serve to adjust the hight /spring angle /bracket fitment
i personally would put a lock washer under and over it cause these brackets are not very flat ;)
