I don't think incredibly steep. Seems like it's all there and not too bad of shape. Small CL pictures hide a lot of flaws though. I'd have to see it and would probably offer $200, but pay $250... if I was in the market. I already have my wife's 60's cool bike though.

Its shows it sold for $82 which even at that price it would be good for parts

Can anyone explain this hub to me? Never heard of it before:

Is it like a flip-flop 2-speed/3-speed hub (which sounds awesome)? Is the 2-speed side a kickback hub?

Or is it a 5-speed hub that distributes 2 of the gears on one side of the hub and the other 3 on the opposite side?

Or is it supposed to approximate having 2 front chainrings and 3 rear sprockets to choose from?

In any event, it sure sounds intriguing. Interesting paint job, especially given the era I'm guessing it's from.

I picked this bad boy off CL. Posted at 6 AM, I claimed it a 6:15 AM. Assumed it was the steel version, got it home and started checking it out, alloy frame, 3.45 BOA tires, 3 speed Nexus hub, 3 piece crank and sealed bearing headset. Turns out it's a 3G Newport. $100
