Hello
I have a frame made by Eddy Merckx. Paintwork is in bad condition with rusty spots etc.
I want to repaint it but dont want to loose decals that are on it.
is there any good way to take them down and put them back on frame after painting?

If it's a sticker decal, I've taped it off to save it. However, an appliqué decal cannot be removed and reapplied. Depending on the decals, there are replacements available online. Do you have pics of what you're trying to save?

Here's a Rollfast decal I saved by taping it off (on the seat tube).

What decals are you trying to reproduce? The chain guard is flat, take a couple pictures and measure the length and height. Places like Fast Signs can reproduce them. Decals that roll around the seat tube, or other tubes are much harder to reproduce with pictures.
