American Vintage Bicycle Supply
Double Nickle
Today I went to a local collectors house to look through his barn and see what he might have for sale. After seeing him at my swap meet last year, I came across a jacket in his booth but it was not for sale. He told me it once belonged to a man by the name of Joe Dyer.
Actually Joe is a good friend of mine and insane to think that I was looking at his old shop jacket. For the past few years I've been slowly buying a large portion of Joe's old shop and trying to weed out all the old Schwinn memorabilia.
Before actually seeing this jacket in person, Joe told me about selling it with his original store sign to a man in the 90's. So I'm sure you can imagine how crazy it was to run into this guy nearly 20 years after the purchase and for him to still have it.
This jacket is going into my personal collection not just because of how rare it is but how close I've gotten to the man who wore it when it was new.
Thanks,
Tyler
