Today I finally got a chance to make my fountain shot
Normally the place is packed with playing kids, but early Sunday morning adults with bikes are allowed to play too... [emoji16][emoji605]
Technically it's more of a "in the fountain" pic...
And to up the challenge I even made a "fountain ride video" [emoji16]

And found this nice fountain on the way back. Perfect spot to make a "rainy day fountain pic" [emoji299]
And with the right angle, it points out some of my doodads as well [emoji6]

The EggBeater and family on the way to Berlin. Took me 10 hours to get here yesterday (2 breaks for the kids included).
Our old home is (almost) all packed up, on the trailer is our garden furniture and the kids bikes. We stay on the camping ground for the next two weeks until the new flat is ready and I start on my new job in 1 hour... Eggsited and eggshausted at the same time....

The EggBeater in it's new habitat.
I use it on a daily basis, but don't take it apart as much as I tought. 10,20€ for a monthly bike ticket is not worth the effort.
I'm very happy with the handling of the bike, but probably have to change the gear ratio in the near future...

Just yesterday the EggBeater got a long overdue upgrade.
After I realized that I had some movement where clamps mount onto the frame I drilled several holes, tapered them and screwed the joint clamps strongly to the frame. It feels rock solid now.
That's how it looks now:

It was so cool to see EggBeater and how well it works as a breakaway bike. The stretch bike guys really appreciated the functional engineering as well. It was fun how they really wanted to wait and see that you could actually fit EggBeater and the Buggy Trike in your car.
Yeah, they really seemed to be impressed, especially considering the size of my car...
Chris was already thinking out loud about building a stretch breakaway bike...
A Breakaway would be interesting, but if it’s a stretch bike maybe it should telescope . . .

I'll have to find some pics of the breakaway stretch that the godfather of stretch bikes (Robert Belyea of HB Cruisers) did a year or two ago. His design was more for ease of shipping than daily breakdown.
