Building this bike was a lot of fun .. I bought the bike in a thrift shop online , and decided to leave it like that. I just add some minor modifications, such gears , chain , pedals and I powered coating the rims in a brass gold color . I really dig my cholo bike project! The 1st pic is how I bought the bike originally. I was debating to keep the blue rims , but I decide to go with the gold .

Nice work Wandita. Good choice on the gold rims. I think they look really good with the tan seat and grips. Clean, solid build. That frame is good-lookin’ too. Good lines, nice flow. Oh, and P.S. great patina on that original paint.

Great choices on seat and grips match, and pedals and wheels. I like that you powder coated the rims, spokes, and hubs for a very unique look! The gold contrasted with the raw patina of the frame works well.

Was this your first Rat Rod Bike Build-off?
If so, hope you had fun here and come back for more.

Yessss !! Thank you ! The patina was the inspo for the gold color . I like to keep the frame original but not to flashy ! Love my bikes !

The colors do blend together well. Much better on the eyes than the bright blue. Very nice ladies frame, I like the shape of the rear. The curved seat tube really stands out from the traditional shaped ladies frames Im used to seeing.

Couple of things to take a look at.

In the pic with the blue wheels, the coaster brake tab is bolted to the bracket / hanger on the frame, in the pic with the gold wheels, its not. See if you can get it rotated to bolt thru the bracket again.

Interested in the tooth count on the front and rear. How does it ride? Does it need a gear change, sprocket change.
If its comfy, no concern.

Good eye!!

Any new updates?

Great build, I cant get over how the lines sweep from the bottom bracket all the way to the grips.
Brown, tan, and gold is a nice color combo.
Yesss ! Thank you , I really love the combo of the earth tones with brass and the clean lines . It was fun building this baby .

To be honest , it rides perfectly fine and doesn’t need any gear change . Super comfy but with a little bit of push , but I normally cruise around the neighborhood. Thank you !!
