Electra Vince

This is my current Vince that I picked up last weekend

Vince.jpg

I added the following items

Brooks Saddle B190
Electra Rear Rack
HBBC LED Light
Soma Fabrication rear tail light

I need to find some beefy Whitewalls

Here's my nearly finished bike. It started out as an early model SuzyQ. Repainted it and cannibalized some parts from my Straight8. Took the apes, wheels and mixed matched pieces from the original SuzyQ TT fork with the s8 forks to get everything to fit, no cutting or welding. The S8 TT forks are actually about 4 inches shorter to give the frame a lower stance. I never thought I would do this to my S8 but couldn't resist the larger steel frames of the early model Ratfinks and SuzyQ's.

Had an idea to do a photoshoot with the Flying Sue and the Lakester at The Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum @ Miramar yesterday. It was a perfect spot to shoot these themed bikes other than being on the USS Midway Aircraft carrier. I had to ask permission from the museum attendant if I could take pictures and he was OK with it so as long as we weren't riding around. We had to roll the bikes through the museum staging bungalow interior to get to where the planes were. I took a lot of pictures and here are just some of my favorites. The complete album can be seen here:

This is my electra vince. the previous owner had it pretty beat up. I was going to clean it up and put it back to stock, but there are too many scratches on the frame and fenders, so I have decided to build something custom out of this bike.

Here are my 2 electras.
Electra Coaster with 24x3 Fatti-Os. Bare aluminum frame, apes and bent springer.

This bike started out as an old beat up SuzyQ. Stripped it and repainted it gray. Threw on some modified straight 8 forks and wheels with mini Z bars. Still not completely done with this build. But this is how she sits as of now.

I picked up a pair of Electra "stream ride" pieces yesterday. I was curious if anyone could tell me what year they were made.

Look like 2003-2005 (pre-pedal forward for the cantilever cruiser and stream ride frames), the third character (a number) in the serial number is the last number in the year. Love the Rat Rod

so i always thought Electras were pretty cool..
but one day i just woke up like literally i woke up and i all the sudden really wanted an Electra crusier/chopper..
no joke..
i usually have only stick with 20'' bikes but i really wanna get a 26in Rat Fink or something similar and run a '26 x '20 wheel ratio and other customization like to make a large muscle bike..
but it has to be aluminum :0
i donno has anyone ever just woke up one day and wanted a new bike.. well i mean we all do but..
like just want one brand/model specifically..

i also want to accquire a Nirve/springer linkage fork aswell as a Phat linkage chopper in yellow 26x20'

Think i mean like, have you ever Impulsively wanted bikes?  8)

Love Electra's! My wife rolls on an old Cream/Tan Twiggy, used to have a Fink (RIP) but currently ride a bare-metal Sparker with Apes and a redone Coaster (pics below) and I've got one more Deluxe frame just waiting to be built back up.

Wicked Lakester.

Has anyone else been looking through this thread taking a look at what the different color Electra rims look like on real bikes?
Has anyone received their Electra sale packages yet?

I haven't pulled the trigger on their sale items... but it looks like there are some smoking deals right now on a lot of great parts.
