Electra Tank Frame - Bondo?

Hello all,

I just bought a new Electra Mod cruiser with the "hydroformed aluminum tank frame". I was planning a build for a friend and when I took it to the powder coater he said "it looks like that tank is probably bonded" ... which means he can't powder coat it. Painting it is WAY more expensive and I want the durability of powder. I called electra and the guy on the phone sounded fairly confident that it was "all metal" but wasn't absolutely 100%. Without sanding it down, does anyone know if the electra tank frames have bondo?

Answered my own question with Sand Paper.... its got putty/"bondo" on the joints to make them smooth.

So what are your plans ? You think your powdercoater might have some suggestions as to how to re-do the "factory bondo'd" joints so you might be able to proceed with powdercoat ?
