This is how it stood when i pulled it out of the SUV..
The man Brush painted it and thought it looked "GREAT!"
camera-gate507.jpg

The obvious sign its prewar
camera-gate508.jpg

This is my first skiptooth bicycle, im pretty excited to get it running (nicely)
camera-gate509.jpg

Nice looking badge...will look nice with black
camera-gate513.jpg

Started grinding away at it, i was tired of the silver..it was terrible looking
camera-gate512.jpg

Started at the wheels, looks 100% better allready
camera-gate511.jpg

love these fenders, finally have a use for em...Thanks Boardtrack Fan

note-the multiple rakes+brooms are for the chain
no master lock

camera-gate524.jpg

Painted the temporary fork
camera-gate525.jpg

Removed some more gold from the wheels...mainly the spokes...
I decided im going to paint these gunmetal grey
camera-gate526.jpg

And i decided im an idiot and i want to paint the bearing cups and clear the bike

Each bike you do gets BETTER and BETTER! For such a "young" guy, you've got a lot of talent. I think that you are a force to reckoned with, in this build off, and any other build off to come! 8)

I seriously worked all day on this bike..yesterday too
Tomorrow im going to touch up the paint were the "Rack"(ladder) scratched it, and start painting the wheels.
What im doing to the wheels is smoothing the hubs best i can and sanding each and every spoke down...
Theyre gonna go gun metal grey or maybe red

Which one?

GREY!......Whitewalls?

From electra:
Maybe the redline street racer tires
theres a retrorunner with a brownwall...which could look interesting, but probably not on this bike

From Nirve:
Maybe those badass tires...
But i dont know if i want TOO much muscle going with this thing

Where else i sthere cool tires?
besides felt

The bike is a prewar Cleveland Welding made for the Farber Bicycle CO for sure. The drop stand ears were something they dropped after the war. I have a bike almost exactly like yours, just tank model and very beginning of postwar construction. They still had the dogleg crank right after the war.

The fenders a pretty hard to find actually. I believe they were originally from a Roadmaster Luxury Liner (also a CWC bike).

yeah, i watched boardtrack fan pull em off a roadmaster...somethingorother...it was a ladies bike with a chrome tank and that weird springer fork(which i also have...lol)

Ok...
Ive got a fork which needs some work, its a monarch fork...Should get it about 2 weeks from now..
Then im supposed to be getting a chainguard...If Rat Royale agrees to hold it for me...(thanks if he do)

Nice job! Love the look of the frame.

I was in your neck of the woods today. Stopped in at the Water Street Antique Mall to see the "antique bikes". Just curious, what is your opinion of this place? And of the "antique bikes"?
