Finally got a mens tank bike

went and picked this up this morning not sure of its year yet.

Cool bike! I'd clear it, throw on some new shoes, loose the baskets, and ride it as she sits.

Alot of it looks the same of mine. I think the year of mine was 1942. so its somewhere around there proberly.

Whipe it down with used motor oiland repack bearings and ride as is. lol

Someone badly spray bombed it so I will probably sand it and repaint it at some point but for now Im just going to adjust the bars and recover the seat and ride it like it is.

Its actually not that rusty compared to some much newer bikes Ive gotten.

Ok, I know you guys will throw rocks at me! but, (just my opinion) It's a cool bike, I'd try and keep the patina as she is and just clean and oil the bike. The storys, and the travels of the bike are held within. The bars are up to you, but, (here's the part where ya get to throw rocks) I'd loose the banana seat! Just don't like em on a cool tanker! :wink:

Ive been looking all over the net for another bike that is close to mine and this was the closest, the crank tank and front fork all seem to match mine. Could mine be a 39?
