I can say that I would not recognise it as the same bike!

Built a black Araya 7X type wheel set for it. They suit better than I thought it would. The satin finish is a good contrast to the gloss of the frame.

Getting ready for some Kuwa inspired gussets.
E.T Decal set is ordered.
Hope I have some white paint in stock LOL. I have the red.

E.T red on the frame and fork. The gussets will be epoxied on after a little white goes onto the front of the frame.

Sprayed some white onto the frame, to make sure it's coated behind the gussets nicely.
Plus a pair of gussets cut out and filed to shape.

Fitted the gussets, finished the white. Then just couldn't wait to start putting parts on.
Managed to get it together without scratching the soft paint.
Now for the long wait for decals to arrive from the USA.

I added the schwinn wheels with gum walls that I had tried on my Wayfurther build.
Paint stripped all the blue components and polished, or blacked them. Added some VP bear traps, chrome 8" bars and Dia Comp brake set from the parts stash.
I figured a cruiser shouldn't have a plastic seat, as per Elliott's 20", so I dug out a padded bmx seat to finish off the old school look.

I was digging this....

The black on black on black rims/spokes/tires worked great with your vibe.

The new itteration is cool too. Gumwalls and gusset,with a fade paint, takes it back a few decades; which is always good for me.
