Anyone know about fixing a bent fork? This one I have is pretty bent. I really want to bend it back and keep it since its original to the bike. Should I use a propane torch and heat it up and bend it with an old pipe or something? Would this effect the structural integrity of the fork? I really down know. This fork is bad, bent two ways. One is by the fork steer tube and crown and the legs are bent sideways.

I'm not one to say things can't be fixed, but that fork may be close. Bending one back that is "tweaked" front to back is easy. Bending a the letter "S" back to being straight isn't so easy. Yours is bent in so many directions and is a common style, so I personally would just replace it with a similar one.
If you are wanting it to stay original because the paint and graphics match, you will ruin that when you heat it with a torch anyway.
Good luck with whatever you do!

Well it's a wall hanger now lol I did what I could and I got the legs pretty close...but I'd rather spend the money and save my time. Not worth the aggravation especially when I'll probably mess them up worse! Thanks for the input

After working all that back I wouldn't trust it any further than I can throw a Cadillac. :( Maybe if you're an experienced swordsmith with an awesome blacksmith's mandril set.
