just rolled off of our site over to craigslist, and lo and behold,i find pictures of my bikes, and part of steve`s last logo! i know the kids that are starting the club, but i am not affilliated in any way, other than serving them beer and talkin` bikes! you`d think someone would post pics of their own bikes! :? oh well, venting over! ovhttp://houston.craigslist.org/bik/1057030643.htmler!

I'm sure they're not trying to be jerks or anything. If it's a problem a polite word should be enough.

I say flattery. nowhere does it say that your bikes are their bikes, it just shows cool bikes. as for the logo, i reserve judgement until someone sees the shirts, if the rr wheel is just a CL post graphic, so be it... not like theyre profiting off of it, its a CL post.
BUT if steves hard work is misrepresented on their shirts... then theres trouble...

Any personal artwork is automaticly copy righted. anyone can use it unless they are useing it to make money. if the "shirts" have steves logo and they are selling them, steve can sue them. For it to be legal, they would have to change the logo at least 20 percent i think. im sure there isnt any problem, the guy just wants to attract people. my 2Cents.

has anyone contacted them to see what this is about? if they have their own unique shift design i say no fowl but if they are ripping your designs steve i would at least say something. there is a difference between flattery, and just plain ripping off someone's art work because you can't come up with your own ideas

Sounds like this might call for a rumble.
I can't stop laughing, it just brought me back to my high school days when we all talked about "the rumble with the next town over" that never did happen, one kid even had his fingernails grown long for his weapon. That was 30 years ago

time for a little texas justice, old school! just kidding! i`ll just talk to the guy and enlighten him about digital cameras and crayons! and if he ever uses any pics of my stuff, they better be BIGGER!

As a photographer, I am very protective of my images. So this deal would piss me off...I realize it is the internet and therefore open season on other peoples intellectual property, I just ask for attribution and thanks when I find my images poached. There is a lot of work and effort put forth to create something from nothing so ask before you take and they should have asked before using the pictures or attributed them to where they were found. They should not have used original artwork under any circumstances.

some people.

was flagged b4 i could check it out. wouldn't have been too hard to come up with something else on their own or invent a different logo. i totally dig the rr logo, but i can easily think of like 4 more that would be really cool AND original, too. at least they are into bikes, like us. now if they did try to make $ off it... then the smacketh must be layeth down.
