Thanks for all the positive comments. I'm going to try to get to my LBS for the last few things....chain, grips (black), pedals, and brake shoes.

I'll post when I get it all together. Shooting to have it ready for a car show Halloween weekend.

UPDATE 10/17/2010...............

OK guys, I've got a little more done! Got the chain replaced (CHROME Diamondback), brake pads installed, chain guard cleaned and installed, painted and installed the rear rack. All that's left are the pedals and grips.

Any add or delete suggestions would be appreciated.....

I have a rear one. The old ones come up here sometimes, but I think there are new repros available. The front one attaches like struts.

Thanks, Skip! I've had alot of fun getting this one cleaned up. Now I'm looking for the next project! Hey, I know where there are two identical 24" 10-speeds from the '70s (mine and my brothers).....two to make one?......Custom stretch?????

I found mine on ebay for $25 total if I remember right but the chrome isn't perfect. They do come up. Just keep checking and you'll find one!Congratulations on how that bike turned out! Very nice!
