Frame ID Help?? Thanks for checking it out!

Any help ID-ing this frame would be greatly appreciated. The stamp on the BB reads : K 17 4044. Any thoughts would be great. I've heard possible Schwinn B series, Mead Ranger, Shelby. I'm a rookie and confused by the branding and manufacturers of these frames (who built them and who sold them etc.). Thanks for the help!!!

Definitely not a Schwinn. The welds on the frame aren't like Schwinn used. Serial is not a style Schwinn used either. Gary

With sprocket it kinda looks like an early Rollfast.

Thanks guys. Consensus is that it is definitely not a Schwinn. Also heard HP Snyder possibly but I'll check into Rollfast old pics also. The search continues....
