Maybe some sort of chart would be cool. You could also use them as templates for drawing up a build.

Monark five bars (and four bars), Elgin Twins, three rail Huffys, looptail Colsons etc, etc...they are just descriptors for the most part and some of them become prevalent enough to be common knowledge.
