I was wondering if it was posssible to swap the guts from a coaster brake hub/center rim into the center/hub of a freewheel rim? - all my rims are trashed (except on my freewheel hubs). I prefer coster brakes. Maybe dumb question, but throught I'd ask! Thanks.

Dude, 1-strip the good rim of spokes and hubs, 2- tape the rim to the wheel with the coaster hub (make sure that the valve is at the same place and the spokes are on the right side to match), 4- transfer nipple and spokes to the good rim one at a time, 5- remove tape and bad rim, true your wheel.(or have it done by your LBS)

this works ONLY if the hubs have the same hub flange-to-center length AND hub flange diameter...otherwise (more than likely) you'll need to get new spokes
