Good day. I have recently picked up a '63 Murray identical to the bike pictured here.
It is however missing the little red front "gem" as pictured on the front fender -- see attached photos (not my bike pictured).

Does anyone know where I might be able to locate one on these replacement gems? Looks to be just a small hunk of red plastic. I think I recall reading a thread where someone was talking about reproducing them.

I would greatly appreciate any help in locating this piece, as it is the only part of my bike that is missing.

Much thanks.

I was/am planning on making reproductions, but I'm having trouble with the casting material. I've been trying to get a good headlight lens made for a while, I'm getting close to a good finish on that.

Its going to be a while before I get the fender ornaments and jewels done.

This is great. Thank you. When you do get them done, I would love to buy one from you. Thanks.

No problem

I am going to attempt to do a reproduction of this front fender jewel. I have a couple of decent photos from the 1963 catalogue however they are shot at an angle. Does anyone out there actually have one of these jewels that they could perhaps photograph for me from a side perspective. I need the dimensions so that I can make a plug for casting. Thank you in advance...

Good luck, I had nothing but trouble trying to replicate these parts. I hope it works better for you.

What a coincidence, I recently acquired one of these as well, chrome frame version. I am also missing the front fender jewel, so I will keep my eyes open for the reproductions. One pedal is missing a jewel, but that is a subject for another thread
