Morph (the OCC) was a low-buck, dance with who ya brung kinda build. Ive got maybe $50 in it and most of that was the fork (just couldnt see doing it with the chopper fork). It proved the concept and that a fat rear with max air does roll, though I concede that you are likely right about high pressure skinnys. Funny thing is that my other quick&dirty cruiser fame with high pressure tires ran the same speed on the same hill.
Im thinking hard on checking regular at St Vinnie's for a decent suspension mtn bike c/w disc(s) to do a low-down build with those high pressure 26's and give it a go.

Maybe you need a more streamlined position like this one I built about 10 years ago it was hard to master the friend I built it for got I down pat though. It's a 3 speed.
