i bought this bike new from wal*mart my be 8 or 9 years ago, so my wife could ride w/ me. well, she didnt. i gave it to my nephew, so he'd have something to ride when he visited my parents. turns out he never rode it either.
my dad aksed me a week ago if i wanted it back. i went to get it yesterday morning and it was in pretty ruff shape.
the chain was rusted and bent and the derailleur was twised up like a pretzel. sure i could've fixed it rite, but that would've involved spending money. i removed all the shifting parts and replaced the crank and chainring to stuff i had around. i little work and it's now a frewheel single speed. i'll take it for a spin after work and probably strip it more.
